Q5:"Do I need to have a HIP?"

Almost certainly yes.
From the 14th December, 2007 almost all residential properties will require to have ordered a HIP prior to putting the property on the market for sale.
After June 1st, 2008 all properties will have to have taken receipt of a HIP before the property can be put up for sale or first point of marketing.
