Information for Home Owners
How will Hip-Uk help?
Hip-Uk steps in at the point where you make the decision to put your home on the market.
It produces the HIP for you, helping you sell your property quickly, efficiently and with minimum fuss.
You supply initial information but then Hip-Uk and your estate agent handles the rest of the process.
The process starts with your initial instruction to either Hip-Uk or your estate agent. It then passes to the experts who will provide the legal documents and conduct the Domestic Energy Assessment all in-house. Once the pack is ready it will be available to your estate agent and solicitor for consultation by prospective purchasers and also a Hard copy will also be sent direct to your home. In the majority of cases the whole process unfolds with no further input from you once you have provided the initial information.
Alternatively, you can brief Hip-Uk direct and retain it yourself while you sell your property. This may be your preference if you are handling your own sale rather than placing it in the hands of an estate agent. If you are uncertain of your best route forward, speak to a Hip-Uk representative or one of the agents listed on this site and we will advise you.
Easy to understand, fully compliant Home Information Packs.
Arranging your own HIP with Hip-Uk gives you the total flexibility and control.
By buying direct from an independent HIP provider, your HIP will remain yours and be fully portable allowing you the freedom to choose your preferred Estate Agent or Solicitor without being tied into their HIP.
Your HIP will be compiled using 100% official documents making it totally compliant with government legislation.

What should I look for in a Hip provider?
Ideally the Hip provider you choose should have full indemnity insurance and subscribe to the PCCB code of conduct for Hips (Hip code).
All Hips which comply with this Code will include the HIP Code logo and you can check whether a HIP provider subscribes to the Code by contacting the Property Codes Compliance Board or visit their web site at propertycodes.org.uk
The HIP Code provides protection for home buyers, sellers, estate agents, conveyancers and mortgage lenders who rely on the information included in a Home Information Pack (HIP) provided on residential property within England and Wales. It sets out minimum standards which HIP providers have to meet.
Hip-Uk carry full Indemnity Insurance, and members of PCCB subscribing to the Hip Code
